End Of Summer Beauty Round-Up

Warm weather is soon winding down and the crispness of fall is RIGHT around the corner (as is my birthday – wee!), so this end of summer beauty round-up is coming just in time!

beauty round-up

The past couple of months my entire beauty routine was flipped upside down. I typically use some sort of healing serum before I apply moisturizer, but because it’s humid here in Chicago, all I needed was a light moisturizer. If I used too many products, my face would get oily. Anyone else have this problem during summer months.

Now that it’s September, the weather is starting to slightly shift and I’m finding my skin is starting to become a tad bit dryer. Meaning that it’s time to start incorporating facial oils and serums once again! During this seasonal shift I tend to focus on products that repair my hair and skin. I spend a lot of time outside during the summer months which can lead to damaged hair from too much UV and skin that needs some oxidative repair.

So I’m sharing some Balanced Babe approved products that will help you transition into fall. From a deeply moisturizing natural hair conditioner to potions that beautify from the inside out, these beauty products will hydrate, repair, and prep for a new season! I also start to wear deep colored lipsticks and glosses (to match fall colors of course), so I’m throwing in a cool lipstick line too. Check them out!

End Of Summer Beauty Roundup

Kosas  Royal Weightless Lip Color:This lipstick line is created with nourishing ingredients like green tea, rosehip and Grape Seed Oil. The entire line is free of preservatives and synthetic fragrances. Some of the benefits also include UV protection, hydration, and boosting collagen. Me likey!

Vintner’s Daughter Face Oil: As I mentioned I don’t wear face oils during the summer, but I sure as heck do starting in September! This Active Botanical Serum uses 22 different botanicals and essential oils and is also made without parabens, and synthetic fragrances. The ingredient list is packed with all sorts of herbs and oils that I love!

Moon Juice Beauty Dust:This edible “Dust” claims to give you a beautiful glow from the inside out. All you have to do is blend it with your favorite nutmilk. Their special blend of herbal ingredients include Organic Goji, Rehmannia, Organic Schisandra, Pearl, and Organic Stevia. Moon Juice has all sorts of cool potions and plant-based foods that can virtually assist with any arena of your life. I definitely like using products like this as we are in seasonal transition to provide extra nourishment.

Murad Retinol Serum:This retinol serum should definitely be used at night as it can cause slight irritation if you have never used a retinol serum before. There are actually three powerful anti-aging ingredients in this serum including a a fast-acting Retinoid, a time-released Retinol, and a Retinol booster. Just check out the product page to see some of its results!

Vita Liberata Self-Tan Bronzer:Now that the sun won’t be as strong, we can whip out our self tanners once again! This has been a favorite of mine for some time, but I am quite obsessed with Vita Liberata products. I especially love their self-tan bronzer. This one is a mineral bronzer that also comes with a luxuriously soft application brush.

Neuma Conditioner:Hands down my favorite hair care line. I love using their neuMoisture conditioner since my strands are color treated and I’ve been outside in harsh conditions (windy Chicago) all summer long. This particular product has color extending properties with UV protection, and does a fabulous job at de-tangling. Neuma prioritizes being a sustainable company and they pride themselves on not using any parabens or synthetic ingredients in their products. I literally cannot get enough of them!

To get you even more hyped up about beauty products to transition from season to season, I’ve got a grandioso giveaway for you this week! I’m raffling off a quaint little gift bag of 1 Moon Juice Beauty Dust (valued at $65), 1 Vintner’s Dauhter serum (valued at $185), and your color of choice of Kosas Lipsticks (valued at $24). I'm interested in beauty products that can also contribute to your general health and wellness (not just appearance.)

I would love to learn more about niacimide in beauty products. I just saw it used in a product and don't know much about it.

Ha! Everything I look for is here... I'm still checking out tumeric and matcha for myself. It'd be pretty cool too revisit some of the old fads like acai and ginsing to know what's worth keeping up with now that the hype has died down.
