How to Feel Prosperous This Holiday Season

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! What a special treat this time of the year is. I don’t know about you, but Christmas time is my favorite holiday. Not only does it help me practice the art of how to feel more prosperous this season, but the smell of evergreen candles, staying inside at night and snuggling up next to the Christmas tree, and holiday parties with family ignite my fire.

Santa didn’t scrimp on the goodies this year either. We got just what we wanted on our list: an acupressure mat, a veggie spiralizer (look out for alllll sorts of new veggie pasta recipes in the New Year), a Ninja blender for on-the-go smoothies, dandelion grains face scrub, and all sorts of home decor goods so that we can spruce up our condo for 2016.

More importantly, now is the time for us to look inward and reflect on all that we are blessed with this past year. Think of all the blessings you’ve been touched with the past 12 months, the new relationships that you’ve made, and the accomplishments you’ve celebrated. Practice the art of truly feeling prosperous.

For me, to feel prosperous is to wholeheartedly and abundantly appreciate what we already have.

How can you feel more prosperous this holiday season? Look around you, look to your family, look to your friends, look at your living space and look at yourself.

How to Feel Prosperous This Holiday Season

Look to your friends and family and be appreciative of all that they do for you. Appreciate the small things your loved ones do for you. The more you practice appreciation, the more satisfied and happy you will feel with your own life.

Observe your living space and all that you are already blessed with. What you think about most, manifests itself. If you constantly observe your environment and wish you had more, made more money, had better clothes, had more space, you will block yourself from abundance. Do this: look around your space and notice all the wonderful objects around you. A comfy bed, a secure home, your sacred space to reflect. Life is all about perspective and you are in control of it.

Look inward at yourself and boost your self-image with love. Constantly remind yourself of all of your accomplishments this past year. Know that you deserve all the good that comes your way, and feel excited for all of the possibilities and opportunities that the New Year will bring.

If you want to live a prosperous life, you need to act. No successful person waits around for good things to happen to them. They take action day in and day out. Whatever your goals are for leading a prosperous life, take action today. Get up and work out. Spend 30 minutes on a new work project you have been putting off. Put yourself out there and connect with someone you want to spend more time with. Good things come to those who act.

As you practice these principles this week, notice your mindset and constantly shift it for thinking positively. A new year is right around the corner and now is the time to celebrate and rejoice in all that you’ve lived for.
