Three Essential Oils You Need to Use + a doTERRA Giveaway

doterra-essential-oils-review

Anyone who has used aromatherapy can safely say they enjoy the many benefits. With the  growing evidence of its effectiveness, I’m excited to be sharing my experience with a well known essential oils brand.  I’ve been mixing my  oils  with water for a spray form, or using some as a carrier oil to mix with massage oil after a stressful day.  This past week I’ve enjoyed the benefits of a few essential oils, compliments of DoTerra, that I’d like to share with you!

I also have the exciting opportunity to introduce doTERRA and give my readers a chance to win an introductory kit of essential oils.  DoTERRA has been bringing therapeutic-grade oils to the world since 2008, and their products are exclusively sold through independent consultants.   For now, see how I used doTERRA oils to bring balance to my being.

LAVENDER OIL  is nature’s natural sedative.

I used a small spray bottle of lavender oil and mineral water.  A small mist of lavender spray on my pillow before I go to sleep smells wonderful and relaxes me. You can also soak a few cotton balls with lavender oil placed by your bedside for the same effect.

Rather than use scented dryer sheets, I added 9 drops of lavender oil to a clean damp wash cloth and added to my dryer load.

LEMON OIL  is nature’s natural disinfectant.   I love mixing lemon essential oil  with vinegar and water in a spray bottle.  I can wipe down the wood floors and clean almost all surfaces.    It leaves a clean, fresh citrus scent.  Lemon oil can be used to freshen almost anything;   mix approx. 16 drops of lemon oil to one cup of baking soda and keep in a covered container for at least 24 hours.   Sprinkle this mixture on carpet, let sit for 10 minutes and then vacuum.   You can also freshen your fridge (and get rid of those odors)  by using cotton balls soaked with lemon oil.  Throw them out once they’ve lost their scent.

PEPPERMINT OIL is nature’s natural energizer.  It’s one of my favorites and I wrote a post the beginning of the year about the wonderful ways to use this essential oil. You can see it here!

I would love to use lavender to help my children with sleep and relaxation and I would use lemon in my water because I’m trying really hard to cut back on soda. I think that peppermint may help my chronic headaches.

  5. I will use essential oils in my daily meditation practice. I will also use them as aromatherapy tools with my massage clients.

  6. I am going through one of the hardest time of my (emotional/relationship) my life. I have been in this relationship for 7 years, during which I gave all that I had (physically (working so much while my partner didn’t have a job), emotionally,…). Few days ago, I never thought in a million years that he will ever cheat on me! :'( :'( and I learned that he did! That day I couldn’t sleep at all. I stayed awake for almost 30h, my had was burning, I felt awful and half human. When I finally decided that this is life and I need to understand that this might be a blessing in disguise and that maybe finally I will not have to work as much as I did for two people, this is maybe what I NEED even though it’s not exactly what I WANTed. :'( It’s going to be HARD by times (especially when I will think of our habits togerther and all the little things, his clothes, the cards/notes that he gave me, our pictures, our memories together) but I decided that even if this is going to be hard and bitter and extremely painful, I will do all it takes to emerge from it lighter, stronger and more compassionate toward myself and others.
I had a blend of relaxing essential oils and applied some on my front head and feet. and finally, I fell asleep! All this is to say: I will be using these healing oils now and forever, because I believe in the power of nature and that it has everything to heal us and we just need to open our mind/heart/body. I believe in the power of the universe and I know I will feel better everyday.

    Thank you
