This week I had the pleasure of stopping by a fresh and innovative blog catered to helping brides navigate their way through the planning process of their big day, Bridentity Crisis. I spoke about my health coaching philosophy, my bridal intensive packages, and some of my  plant-based diet tips.

Here are some highlights from the article:

“Q: You’re also a holistic health coach with a certification in plant-based nutrition. How can a plant-based diet help brides look good and, more importantly, feel great in prepping for their big day? “

” A: Eating a plant-based diet can improve your energy, immune system, and health in so many ways! In my own opinion, being plant-based doesn’t mean you are a vegan. It should mean including more plant-based ingredients into your daily meal plan. So how will going plant-based help brides to be? It can increase your energy and focus, give you glowing skin, help decrease water weight, improve your cellular health, and can protect from future disease. If you don’t know where to start, you can visit BalancedBabe.com for some easy and quick plant-based recipes!”

” Q: How should busy brides try to maintain balance while juggling wedding planning, their relationship, work, family, and anything else? It can be extremely stressful to plan a wedding while trying to look and feel your best. Here are three tips that I can give any bride-to-be: “

Plan out your week ahead: As a bride’s coach, my emphasis is on helping her plan out her week, yet allowing time for relaxation and enjoying the journey. With this goal in mind, I’ll help her concentrate on getting the important things done but getting in some downtime, too.

Don’t over think your diet: I coach brides on the importance of NOT what to “cut out” of her diet, but rather what to INCLUDE more of from the food groups. My goal is to keep it simple as there is enough stress involved already with planning a wedding!

Use time management wisely: It’s easy to get carried away planning such an exciting event, so i help brides focus the number of hours dedicated each day for w dding planning to a doable minimum. “

I am also freaking out in my head about our first annual wellness retreat happening right in Downtown Chicago, Be Healthful. This will be the first of many retreats that will connect Chicago’s newest and most well renowned companies and leaders in the holistic health and wellness industry with the modern consumer. It is happening THIS SUNDAY and I couldn’t be more excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time.  If you haven’t yet, you can register here!
