We were excited to try out brunch plant-based options at River North’s Hubbard Inn. The interior is hip without trying too hard—Old World décor takes chic Chicago out on a date—with communal tables, exposed lighting, and vintage posters and paintings lining the walls. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was playing on the bar’s TV screens, and our cocktail, A Steep Escape, allowed us to channel our inner Audrey. Belvedere Lemon Tea Vodka, St. Germaine, bitters, Mumm Brut Champagne, oh my! Only thing we needed was our little black dress and Manhattan sunglasses.
