Balance Your Body With Salt; Pink Salt.

benefits of pink himalayan salt

Two or three years ago I went out of my way to ensure that I wasn't consuming any salt or sodium in my diet. That is, until I discovered pink Himalayan salt. At first I assumed it was just dye for decoration, so I simply bought some in a  grinder for a Valentines Day party  I was hosting.  It wasn't until  later that I discovered the numerous benefits it has in our bodies, and I now have a relationship with salt that I never thought was possible.

Why You Need Himalayan Salt in Your Pantry:

+ Very rich in minerals and vitamins that your body needs, especially iodine:  Having a sufficient amount of iodine in your system is important especially for healthy thyroids.

+ Balances electrolytes and aids in hydration: Because there is potassium and sodium in Himalayan salt, electrolyte balance can be achieved and water in the body can be regulated. Jennifermfitness.com post talks about  how to use pink salt for hydration.

+ Detoxifies body of metals: You can make a detoxifying concoction:  Natural News gives you the details on how Himalayan salt detoxifies as a bath salt and how it’s positive and negative ions come into place.

+ Balances pH levels: Pink salt helps our body maintain alkalinity. Our natural pH levels should be slightly above 7, which is more alkaline than it is acidic. If you come to find that your pH levels are more acidic than alkaline, then you can use Himalayan salt to help balance you out.

+ Helps remove toxins by improving digestion: Pink salt aids in digestion by flushing out toxins which allows the intestines to sort out the  nutrients from waste and increase the absorption of nutrients.

There are many more benefits of using Himalayan Salt than what I have listed, so I have provided links to references and sources where you can find more information.

I also want to STRESS that you should not use a Himalayan salt cleanse internally without consulting your physician first! Never use supplements, internal cleanses, alternative topical treatments without always consulting your Dr.    This is your friendly reminder!
