Being A Balanced Babe: Energy We Bring

EWB: Salmon Recipe

BB: What food myths do you want to debunk once and for all?

F: Everyone asks what is your “diet secret”?  So here is the answer: There is NO secret. Gluten free eating makes me feel great, but will it work for you? Maybe not. The key to optimal health and nutrition is to find out what food is right for your body. Eat what makes you feel and perform at your best. This requires being in tune with your body and some trial and error with different dietary habits. Call it whatever you want (Paleo, Raw, Gluten Free, etc…), but remember to not be so defined by the name because your diet needs can change as you age or engage in different activities.

J: Overall, I just wish that consumers would start to question many of the foods on the market that claim to be “healthy.” There is so much garbage out there, and it confuses people and prevents them from being able to instinctively make smart food choices. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is! Zero calorie desserts or chemically altered “fat-free” products do not come without consequence. I believe people are better off choosing foods that are as nature intended. Plain and simple.
