I recently discovered bee pollen during my stay in Turkey and am so in love with using it in my smoothies! I will write a detailed post about why bee pollen is amazing later, but for now I want to share this smoothie recipe that will jump start your metabolism and energy for the day, and promote clear and gorgeous skin!
- 1 apple chopped
- 1 orange peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 cup spinach
- 2 tbsp hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp bee pollen
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- Blend all ingredients in a blender, and enjoy!
Little Tip: I try to keep the amount of leafy greens or hydrating veggies equal to or more than the fruits when I make smoothies. This way, I am getting a good amount of fiber, I’m not overloading my body with sugars first thing in the morning, and I am getting a complete array of vitamins and minerals.
